Ladizalm

During the summer months, the calves and heifers of the Engalm are driven to the Ladizalm, which is the high-altitude pasture of the Engalm. Until the 1990s, milk was turned into cheese on the Ladizalm. The calcareous grassland is home to a variety of species of plants, such as the alpine meadowsweet and the bird’s eye primrose. The brown and yellow gentian grow tall and are visible from afar.
