The experience of a lifetime!

Hot-air ballooning in winter

Looking to experience Lake Achensee from a bird’s eye view? No problem! Climb into a hot-air balloon basket, take off, and rise into the winter skies. Drifting through the winter skies is wonderful to switch off: Despite the excitement, a hot-air balloon ride allows you to appreciate the stillness around you as float away from the hectic pace of everyday life. Ballooning is also about "letting go": Hot-air balloons cannot be steered, they use the speed and direction in which the wind travels. But don’t worry, the pilots won’t let the balloon just drift anywhere.

All balloon pilots in the alpine flying areas have a lot of experience and know-how. If necessary, they can bring the colourful balloon down any time at a suitable landing site. Back on the ground, another highlight awaits: The happy post-flight ceremony raises passengers to “aeronautic nobility” – a time-honoured ritual going back to the legend that ballooning was once reserved for members of the aristocracy. Fortunately, this has changed, and today it is possible for everyone to take to the skies in a hot-air balloon and share the blissful experience that the much longed-for freedom is also boundless below the clouds.
