What is long-distance hiking?
Long-distance hiking trails comprise between 6 and 30 stages with uniform marking, each doable in a day. Hikers have the option to complete the entire trail or just individual stretches. Because of their length, long-distance hiking trails are classified as "challenging" and require adequate training and planning. Depending on your experience in mountainous terrain and how much time you have, you can walk the entire trail or break it into sections.
If you are new to long-distance hiking, honestly assess what kind of shape you’re in. Be aware that each stage can have a different level of difficulty, so choose one that meets your abilities. On top of that, long-distance hiking requires good tour planning skills, a base level of fitness, sure-footedness and occasionally a head for heights.
