Achensee Climbing Camp
The Achensee climbing camp is perfect for beginners, those returning to rock climbing, and indoor climbers. Experienced guides will teach you essential climbing techniques (such as pulling, stepping, and edging), as well as rope management, safety techniques, tour planning, and helpful tips & tricks for staying safe and confident on the mountain.
ITINERARY
Friday, 23 MAY
- 08.30 Introduction of participants & division into small groups at Hotel Klingler in Maurach
- 09.30 Departure to the crag Achenseehof or Bärenkopf "Sport climbing - progressing from indoor climbing to rock climbing”, group climbing and learning to navigate the rock with proper techniques (pulling, stepping, edging), and rope management.
- 16.00 Check-in at Hotel Klingler in Maurach
- 17.00 Yoga session specially designed for climbers
- 19.00 Group dinner
Saturday, 24 MAY
- 07.30 Group breakfast
- 08.30 Safe sport climbing on the rock with focus on lead climbing, belay technique (rope management, belaying, equipment for passive protection), tips & tricks for tour planning, topos, climbing grades and crag etiquette
- 18.30 Group dinner
- 20.30 Lecture “proper equipment & planning”
Sunday, 25 MAY
- 07.30 Group breakfast
- Afterwards, check-out at Hotel Klingler
- 08.30 Sport climbing - your glorious scramble; putting your skills into practice
- Approx. 16.00 Return to the hotel and individual departure
Participants will receive the detailed schedule and packing list by email before the camp. The schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions.
